I don’t remember what I was looking for, but I came across this “Eco Arcadia” which, like the description says, would be the first itinerant gaming room in the world powered by bio-diesel!
How it works? These British guys are attending (or were attending, the web site looks abandoned since 2005) all the summer festivals of the country with their arcade-tent, consisting of three pinballs (from the photos we can recognize a “Party Zone”, a ” Black Rose” and a “Bride of Pinbot “) and two videogames – “Pac Man” and “Asteroid”. All this, of course, powered by a generator to 6kVA, which is very reminiscent of the “Pinball Frunz“; generator that runs with bio-diesel. In the arcade are available brochures and booklets about bio-diesel.
The “Pinball Frunz“, that is not itinerant but offers many more games, may well operate at bio-diesel provided that the generator continues to operate without problems (not that normal diesel does not cause troubles…); if someone reading this, it’s interested in organizing the whole thing, and to take this opportunity to have the next Frunz eco-compatible, or even obtain a tent for a weekend in Piazza Grande in Modena, or Piazza Maggiore in Bologna, to have the passing-by to play for free, well, we won’t sure pull back…
